  37.                            INSTALLATION

  39. To install Action SuperCross, simply put the installation floppy disk into
  40. your drive. Type A: or B: depending on your drive letter, then press ENTER.
  41. Type INSTALL and press ENTER.
  42.  
  43. If you have a 100% SoundBlaster compatible sound card, set your sound up by
  44. going to the subdirectory containing the files, type SETUP, and press ENTER
  45. at the DOS prompt.
  46.  
  47. To run the game, simply go to the subdirectory containing the files,
  48. type ACROSS, and press ENTER at the DOS prompt.

  51.                           UNINSTALLING THE GAME

  53. If you ever want to remove Action SuperCross from your computer, you only
  54. need to delete the directory containing the Action SuperCross files. Make
  55. sure you do not have any valuable files in this directory that are not 
  56. related to Action SuperCross.

  59.                           HOW TO PLAY THE GAME
  60.  
  61. Be sure to read the tips.txt file also, in which you will find two useful
  62. pieces of advice for playing the game.
  63.  
  64. You have to ride a motorbike and complete the various stages. You can get to
  65. the next level only by completing the previous one successfully. You can skip
  66. three levels in total, but you can go back and complete a previously skipped 
  67. level later. You can choose to play on any of the levels you have previously 
  68. completed.
  69. For all stages the best six times are recorded along with the name of the
  70. player. The levels become progressively more and more difficult to complete.

  72. To control your motorbike while playing, you use the following keys:
  73.  
  74. UP arrow or A: accelerate (this puts a constant degree of force on the
  75.     rear wheel).
  76. DOWN arrow or Z: block both wheels.
  77. RIGHT arrow or M: turn the bike clock-wise.
  78. LEFT arrow or N: turn the bike anticlock-wise.
  79. SPACE: turns your bike around so you can go in the opposite direction.

  81. During the various stages there are several objects that appear on the screen.
  82. You can contact an object by touching it with your helmet or any of your wheels.
  83. The three different object types are:
  84.  
  85. FOOD object: You have to touch all of these before you can accomplish a level.
  86.         If you touch it, it will disappear.
  87. KILLER object: You will die if you touch it.
  88. EXIT object: You can finish the level by touching it. (It works only if you
  89. have already collected all of the food objects). The exit object is a flower.

  97. this game freely as long as you don't change it in any way. Here is a list of
